Archbishop McNicholas gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Archbishop Alter Knights with a sharp 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Rockets sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row dating back to last season.

One reason for the win was Archbishop McNicholas' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13, 25-11.

Archbishop Alter's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2.

Archbishop McNicholas has already played their next matchup (against New Albany), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Archbishop Alter, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Sycamore on the 28th.
