Basketball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a hard 51-34 fall against the Oswayo Valley Green Wave. Panthers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Green Wave since Saturday.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Oswayo Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Austin will head out on the road to challenge Smethport at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers will be up against the Hubbers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.27 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oswayo Valley, they will challenge Kane at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
