Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Zack Burrow and Aeris Lawson Lead Grandview Prep to Victory

There's no place like home for Grandview Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Somerset Academy Key Lions by a score of 77-69 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pride also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

Leading Grandview Prep to victory were Aeris Lawson and Zack Burrow. Lawson went 9 for 19 on his way to 28 points in addition to five boards and four steals, while Burrow went 6 of 7 on his way to 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lawson has scored at least a third of Grandview Prep's points. Alex Stewart was another key player, putting up ten points.

Grandview Prep's record now sits at 5-2. As for Somerset Academy Key, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Grandview Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 57-54 win against Lake Gibson on the 20th. Somerset Academy Key has also already played their next matchup, a 67-43 loss against Doral Academy on the 14th.
