Baseball Recap: Blake Takes a Loss

Blake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 13-3 to the Spoto Spartans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Yellow Jackets of the 9-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Blake saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton Goggins, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits Goggins has posted since back in April of 2024.

Blake's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Spoto, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Blake has already played their next match, a 10-0 loss against Plant on the 25th. As for Spoto, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 defeat against Newsome on the 25th.
