Basketball Game Preview: Bad Axe Hatchets vs. Cass City Red Hawks

The Bad Axe Hatchets will venture away from home to square off against the Cass City Red Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bad Axe is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

Bad Axe is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Akron-Fairgrove 73-20. The Hatchets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Cass City ended up a good deal behind Kingston back in December of 2024 and lost 51-36. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cass City's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bad Axe, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Bad Axe and Cass City were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but Bad Axe came up empty-handed after a 44-43 defeat. Can Bad Axe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
