Volleyball Game Preview: Catholic Central Hilltoppers vs. Williams Bay Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Catholic Central Hilltoppers will face off against the Williams Bay Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Thursday, Catholic Central didn't have quite enough to beat Brookfield Academy and fell 3-2. The Hilltoppers have struggled against the Blue Knights recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Catholic Central actually scored more points across those five sets (103-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-17, 23-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Despite the defeat, Catholic Central saw an underclassman step up: freshman Leah Kucera had ten digs and two aces. Tatum Bero also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Meanwhile, Williams Bay came up short against Madison Country Day on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-10, 25-17.

Catholic Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Williams Bay, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Catholic Central took their win against Williams Bay in their previous matchup back in August of 2019 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Hilltoppers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
