Basketball Recap: Wiregrass Kings vs. Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors

After losing to the Tuscaloosa Home Educators Warriors the last time they met, the Wiregrass Kings decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Wiregrass walked away with a 48-40 win over the Warriors on Friday.

Wiregrass' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Miller, who scored 22 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Miller has scored at least a third of Wiregrass' points. Luke Strickland was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Tuscaloosa Home Educators' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jose Giron, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was John Barrett Mancil, who scored nine points.

Wiregrass' victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-11.
