Soccer Game Preview: Midland Legacy vs. Frenship

Midland Legacy hasn't had much luck against Frenship recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Midland Legacy Rebels will venture away from home to square off against the Frenship Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Midland Legacy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against San Angelo Central by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Frenship, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in January. They put the hurt on Midland with a sharp 4-0 win on Tuesday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by three goals or more this season.

Zeta McDannels and Allie Hinojosa scored all four of Frenship's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

Midland Legacy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three matches. As for Frenship, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
