Basketball Recap: Kemondrae Fleming's Big Game Can't Quite Lead IDEA Bridge over Northeast

IDEA Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northeast Vikings. While the Capitals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Vikings 17-10 in the first quarter.

IDEA Bridge's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kemondrae Fleming, who went 8 for 20 on his way to 22 points and seven steals. That was a full 37.3% of IDEA Bridge's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ray Melancon Jr., who went 8 of 15 on his way to 23 points and four steals.

IDEA Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Northeast, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. IDEA Bridge will host Thrive Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. IDEA Bridge is facing Thrive Academy at the right time seeing as Thrive Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Northeast, they will look to defend their home court on December 17th against Slaughter Community Charter at 7:00 p.m.
