Pierce City had lost 18 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 4-12 to make it 19. They lost 12-0 to the Diamond Wildcats. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Diamond, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-4. Considering they have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
