Clinton hadn't done well against Central A & M recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Maroons came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 7-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Maroons.

Aliviyah Haynes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Avery Smith was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Clinton's record is now 7-12. As for Central A & M, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Clinton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-4 defeat against St. Teresa on the 20th. Central A & M has also already played their next matchup (against MacArthur), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
