Recap: Indiana Christian Academy Whirlwinds vs. Heartland Christian Saints
The Indiana Christian Academy Whirlwinds suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Heartland Christian by a score of 51-49. Indiana Christian Academy has not had much luck with Heartland Christian recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Indiana Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Sawyer Tipton, who scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Tipton has scored all season. Seth Plew was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Heartland Christian can attribute much of their success to Landon Clemens, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Clay Nivens, who scored ten points.
Indiana Christian Academy's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Heartland Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Indiana Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against Suburban Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Suburban Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.9 points per game. As for Heartland Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Varsity Opponent at 7:15 p.m. Varsity Opponent is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
