Volleyball Recap: McKeel Academy Comes Up Short

McKeel Academy suffered their biggest defeat since August 27th on Wednesday. They lost 3-0 to the Winter Haven Blue Devils. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 25-14.

Sophia Kelley paced McKeel Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Kelley got some help from Isabella Burke and her 13 assists.

McKeel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Winter Haven, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5.

McKeel Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Santa Fe Catholic on the 7th. As for Winter Haven, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Lake Wales on the 2nd.
