Softball Recap: Fredonia Has No Trouble Against Sedan

Fredonia won the last time they faced Sedan and things went their way on Tuesday too. Fredonia put the hurt on Sedan with a sharp 18-3 victory. That's two games straight that the Yellowjackets have won by exactly 15 runs.

Charlotte Jenkins was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Harlee Blackwell, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Fredonia always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .774. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sedan only posted an OBP of .500.

Fredonia has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 19.0 runs this season. As for Sedan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Fredonia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sedan, they will head out on the road to face off against Flinthills at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give Sedan their first taste of in-conference action this season.
