Basketball Recap: Rochester Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rochester lost against Collinsville back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rockets took a hard 52-38 fall against the Kahoks. While the Rockets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Kahoks 14-4 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Rochester saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Khornell Gregory posted 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Another player making a difference was Reece Gade, who put up seven points.

Jordan Taylor went supernova For Collinsville., dropping a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance also gave Taylor a new career-high in blocks (three). Jace Wilkinson was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Rochester's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Collinsville, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Coming up, Rochester will face off against Tolono Unity at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Collinsville, they will take on Alton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
