Football Game Recap: Covington vs. James River

James River fell to Covington 24-26 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. James River were able to grind out a solid win over Covington on Thursday, winning 38-28.

James River's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 22 points in the first half. Covington came up with 14 to make it 22-14 heading into the break. The offense for James River continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 16 points to put the game away. The victory bumped their record up to 4-0. The loss dropped Covington back to even at 2-2.

Next week James River take on Radford at 7:00 PM. Covington will have some time to rest before their next game, which is against Nelson County at Covington High School in two weeks at 7:00 PM.
