Softball Recap: Laguna Acoma Comes Up Short

Laguna Acoma lost against Eunice on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hawks might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 18-7 to the Cardinals, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kaylee Lorenzo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Madelyn Brown was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Laguna Acoma's loss dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Eunice, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-12.

Laguna Acoma does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eunice, they have already played their next matchup, a 9-4 defeat against Rehoboth Christian on the 7th.
