Basketball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

On Friday, Lincoln faced Classical in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lincoln Lions had to suffer through a 65-37 loss at the hands of the Classical Purple. The Lions were probably out for revenge after losing 62-53 to them when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jordan Duke was the offensive standout of the game as he posted 21 points. Eliezer Delbrey was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Classical, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Barrington the next time they take the court. Classical will head out to face Barrington at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, while Lincoln will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
