Softball Recap: West County Beats Arcadia Valley for Their Third Straight Victory

West County put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Arcadia Valley Tigers get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2023.

Grace Lynch made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over 4.2 innings pitched. Lynch was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Lynch is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

In other batting news, West County got a massive performance out of Lacey LaMarr, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. LaMarr is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Grace Barton was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.

West County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .429 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

West County's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Arcadia Valley, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West County will welcome Potosi at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Arcadia Valley, they will host Ellington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
