Soccer Game Preview: St. George's vs. Heritage

For the first time this season, St. George will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against the Heritage Hawks at 4:00 p.m. One thing working in St. George's favor is that they have posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season.

St. George's barely beat Gatewood the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Athletes put the hurt on the Gators with a sharp 6-1 victory on Tuesday.

St. George's offense was hitting Gatewood from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Alison Phillips led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Heritage, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Holy Spirit Prep last Tuesday.

Heritage now has a winning record of 4-3. As for St. George's, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

St. George's skirted past Heritage 2-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Do the Athletes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
