Basketball Recap: Brattleboro Comes Up Short

Brattleboro lost against Otter Valley back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Brattleboro Bears had to suffer through a 73-46 loss at the hands of the Otter Valley Otters. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-16.

Brattleboro's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dawson Wheeler, who posted eight points. Levi Tabachnick was another key player, putting up ten points.

Brattleboro's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Otter Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brattleboro will face off against Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brattleboro is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season. Otter Valley has already played their next matchup (against Windsor), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
