Football Recap: Otay Ranch Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Otay Ranch and Madison squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Otay Ranch had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Warhawks, falling 27-0. The shutout was out of character for the Mustangs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Caleb Delaughter threw for 113 yards on eight of 18 attempts. On the ground, Jaidon Castillo rushed for 34 yards.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Adrian Sola and Jallen White. Sola rushed for 140 yards on only 12 carries while White rushed for 125 yards on only 11 carries.

Otay Ranch's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-7. As for Madison, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7.

Otay Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison, they will challenge University City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warhawks will be up against the Centurions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.7 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
