Sumner came out on top against King on Saturday thanks in part to Peyton Joiner's efforts. Joiner produced her best game of the campaign: she scored a run while going 1-for-3. She also put up a hit, which was her first of the season.

Coming up, Joiner and Sumner will face off against Durant at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Joiner had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their game back in April of 2024 12-11.
