Football Recap: San Pasqual Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home + How To Watch

San Pasqual dropped to 4-3 on Friday, ending the team's eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They lost 35-14 to the Ramona Bulldogs. The Golden Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

San Pasqual lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jared Brecht, who picked up 79 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Robert Renteria, who threw for 241 yards on 20 of 34 attempts.

As for Ramona, the win got them back to even at 4-4. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won three matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.

Ryan Shaw went supernova, throwing for 177 yards and two TDs while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 62 yards and one score on only seven carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (165.2).

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. San Pasqual will challenge Valley Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ramona, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Escondido at 7:15 p.m. on the 24th.
