Providence entered their tilt with Columbus East on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Olympians. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pioneers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Providence easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Shelby Blake, who had six aces and five digs. Those six aces gave her a new career-high.

Blake wasn't the only good server: Providence was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. The Pioneers are 4-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Providence's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Columbus East, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.

Providence has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Bedford North Lawrence on the 8th. As for Columbus East, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 win against Shelbyville on the 8th.
