Softball Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

West Point entered their contest against Caledonia on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The West Point Green Wave came up short against the Caledonia Cavaliers, falling 9-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Green Wave couldn't push the score so high this time.

West Point's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Caledonia, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3-1.

Coming up, West Point will welcome Starkville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Caledonia, they will head out to square off against South Pontotoc at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. South Pontotoc will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Caledonia surely won't give up without a fight.
