Softball Recap: Silver Stage Takes a Loss

Silver Stage managed to slip by West Wendover the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Nighthawks lost 22-12 to the Wolverines on Saturday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Amy Welch made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Joselyn Fauyad was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Silver Stage's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for West Wendover, their victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-13.

While Silver Stage had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
