Volleyball Game Preview: Pleasant Grove Vikings vs. Wasatch Wasps

After both having extra time off, the Pleasant Grove Vikings and the Wasatch Wasps will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pleasant Grove is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

Pleasant Grove proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Spanish Fork, sneaking past 3-2.

Pleasant Grove had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-13, 15-12.

Meanwhile, Wasatch made easy work of Roy on Saturday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Wasatch's win bumped their record up to 16-10. As for Pleasant Grove, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.

Pleasant Grove took their win against Wasatch in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Wasps have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
