Alhambra is a perfect 10-0 against San Gabriel since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Moors will head out on the road to take on the Matadors at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Alhambra and eight for San Gabriel.

Alhambra fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Bell Gardens on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 6-5.

Alhambra saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayla Wagner, who went 4-for-5 with one RBI. Sofia Audelos was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, San Gabriel lost 13-5 to Montebello on Tuesday.

San Gabriel's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Alhambra, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-17.

Alhambra took their victory against San Gabriel when the teams last played on April 8th by a conclusive 16-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Moors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
