Basketball Recap: Patriot Prep Academy Takes a Loss

If Patriot Prep Academy was feeling good fresh off their 45-17 takedown of Berne Union last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Patriot Prep Academy Eagles took a 54-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Millersport Lakers on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lakers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2017.

Millersport got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jenna Schilling out in front who posted ten points and eight steals. Schilling is becoming a predictor of Millersport's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 7-2 (and 2-12 when she doesn't). Emma Raver was another key player, dropping a double-double with ten points and 12 rebounds.

Patriot Prep Academy now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Millersport, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-14.

Patriot Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Millersport, they will challenge Delaware Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Delaware Christian will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Millersport surely won't give up without a fight.
