Basketball Recap: Providence Academy Starts Season with Victory Against St. Agnes + How To Watch

Providence Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the St. Agnes Aggies 72-25. With the Lions ahead 45-17 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Providence Academy was led to victory by Maddyn Greenway and Beckett Greenway. Maddyn posted 27 points in addition to eight steals and five assists, while Beckett shot 91% from the field en route to 23 points and three steals. The contest was Maddyn's 33rd in a row with at least 20 points. Emma Millerbernd was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Looking ahead, Providence Academy will challenge Hopkins at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. Agnes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
