Potomac School is a perfect 7-0 against Sidwell Friends since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Quakers at 4:15 p.m. Potomac School's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Sidwell Friends' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Potomac School is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Saint James on Monday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saints. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Sidwell Friends faced Georgetown Visitation Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Quakers won by a run and slipped past the Cubs 8-7. With that win, the Quakers brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Sohpia Toukan was excellent, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Avery Wincup also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Sidwell Friends and bumps their season record up to 2-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Potomac School, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Potomac School took their victory against Sidwell Friends in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 20-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
