Soccer Recap: Mendenhall Comes Up Short

Mendenhall lost against Wesson last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers fell 5-3 to the Cobras. Colten Boler was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Anson Fewell and Jayden Capels scored all three of Mendenhall's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Mendenhall's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wesson, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Mendenhall wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 6-0 loss against Forrest County Agricultural on the 13th. As for Wesson, they will welcome Bogue Chitto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
