Basketball Recap: Gilbert Tigers vs. Queen Creek Bulldogs

Make it 15 blowout wins for the Gilbert Tigers this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Queen Creek 85-10 on the road. While fans of Gilbert might be used to big wins, the 75-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.

Gilbert's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caia Campbell, who scored 17 points along with four steals. Campbell continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Aspen McClees was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

The win was the third in a row for Gilbert, bringing their record for this year to 21-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 52.3 points. As for Queen Creek, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-21.

Coincidentally, Gilbert and the Bulldogs will both be playing the Aztecs the next time they take the court. Gilbert will host the Aztecs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
