Basketball Game Preview: Great Bridge Wildcats vs. Heritage Hurricanes

The Great Bridge Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Heritage Hurricanes at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Friday, Great Bridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 56-51 to Hickory. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Heritage had to suffer through a 88-25 loss at the hands of Menchville. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Monarchs are ranked 24th).

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Great Bridge, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
