Football Game Preview: Huntsville Panthers vs. Lee Generals + How To Watch

The Huntsville Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the Lee Generals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lee took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Huntsville, who comes in off a win.

Huntsville will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Bob Jones, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Panthers walked away with a 21-10 win over the Patriots on Friday. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but the Panthers were the (much) better team in the second half.

Jackson Spencer had a dynamite game, rushing for 147 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 57 yards.

Meanwhile, Lee came up short against Fort Payne on Friday, falling 49-24. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 54th).

Huntsville is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.3 points over those games. As for Lee, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Huntsville took their win against Lee in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 31-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
