Basketball Recap: Dasia Elder's Big Game Can't Quite Lead North Rowan over West Rowan

North Rowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 54-43 to the West Rowan Falcons. If the Cavaliers were looking for revenge after losing 65-43 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

North Rowan's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dasia Elder, who posted 15 points and four steals. That was a full 34.9% of North Rowan's points, marking the fourth time in a row Elder has scored more than a third of the team's points. Krisstyle Stockton was another key player, putting up ten points along with five boards and five steals.

North Rowan's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for West Rowan, their victory bumped their record up to 2-21.

North Rowan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-57 win against Salisbury on the 14th. West Rowan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
