Soccer Recap: Basalt Takes a Loss

Basalt came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 6-0 to the Vail Mountain Rangers. Considering the last time Basalt couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Basalt's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Vail Mountain, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Basalt will take on Rifle at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vail Mountain, they will challenge Battle Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
