Front Range Christian is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will take on the Union Colony Prep Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Front Range Christian is leaving town to face Union Colony Prep after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Falcons took a 68-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Twin Peaks Classical Academy on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Front Range Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Haedan Morton, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 19 boards, and Zach Woo, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 18 points and three steals. Morton is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Ethan Martin was another key player, putting up eight points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Union Colony Prep strolled past Weldon Valley with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 87-70. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Timberwolves.

Union Colony Prep's win came from a few key players Front Range Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Tanner Sarchet, who dropped a double-double with 25 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Daniel Vazquez, who went 10-for-24 on his way to 25 points in addition to eight steals and five assists.

Front Range Christian couldn't quite get it done against Union Colony Prep when the teams last played back in March as they fell 57-48. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
