            Baseball Recap: Pottsville Crimson Tide vs. Tri-Valley Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Pottsville fought the good fight in their extra-innings  match against Tri-Valley  on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of  7-6. The Crimson Tide have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Alan Kushwarra was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-4 with two  RBI and one  double.  Harrison Ciavarella also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Pottsville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Tri-Valley, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
 Looking ahead, Pottsville will be playing in front of their home fans against Tamaqua  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Blue Raiders' pitching crew has only allowed 1.1  runs per game  this season, so the Crimson Tide's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tri-Valley, they will square off against North Schuylkill at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
