Avon Grove and East are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. Avon Grove will head out to take on East at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Avon Grove is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

On Monday, Avon Grove was able to grind out a solid victory over Coatesville, taking the game 6-2.

Meanwhile, East got the win against Great Valley on Friday by a conclusive 8-2.

Ferri Ava spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on seven hits. Those hits were her first of the season.

On the hitting side, Cross Ava was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Caelyn Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

East lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Avon Grove's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for East, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-4.
