Eastwood entered their tilt with Eastlake on Friday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They strolled past the Falcons with  points to spare, taking the game  42-28. Given the Troopers' advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Falcons are ranked 382nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Eastwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Kingston Jeffries led the charge by throwing for 282 yards and four  TDs while completing 73.9% of his passes, and also rushing for 45 yards. The dominant performance also gave  Jeffries a new career-high in  passer rating (154.3). Eastwood also got a significant boost from  Matthew Ramirez, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 192 yards.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Eastwood was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 281  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 212  rushing yards in five consecutive  games.
 Eastwood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Logan Bedwell and  Roberto Ramirez. Another thorn in Eastlake's side was  Andrew Cintron, who picked up  two  sacks and made eight total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Eastlake's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Junior Trotman, who picked up 167 receiving yards and one  score. Trotman also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D,  making four total tackles and defending one pass. Another player making a difference was  Julian Williams, who threw for 233 yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
Eastwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Eastlake, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
 Eastwood has already played their next contest,  a  49-26  win against Franklin on the 10th. As for Eastlake, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  49-7  victory against Socorro on the 9th.
