Academy at Palumbo had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lower Merion Aces. This was payback for the Griffin, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Academy at Palumbo had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-17, 25-15, 25-19.

Anna Bracali paced Academy at Palumbo's offense, picking up 17 kills. Bracali got some help from Eva Truong and her 27 assists. Doruntina Selimi controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

When it comes to explaining why Lower Merion lost, don't look at Josephine Huh. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and one assist.

Academy at Palumbo's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Lower Merion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Academy at Palumbo has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Franklin Towne on the 22nd. Lower Merion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
