Basketball Recap: Giles County Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central Magnet last Friday, Giles County came back down to earth. The Giles County Bobcats came up short against the Tullahoma Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 58-36. The game marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Xavier Farrell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tullahoma, going 8 of 20 on his way to 19 points along with eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Tinnon, who went 6 for 12 en route to 14 points and eight rebounds.

Giles County's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Tullahoma, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Giles County Bobcats challenge the Lawrence County Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tullahoma, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marshall County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marshall County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 contests -- so hopefully Tullahoma likes a good challenge.
