Soccer Game Preview: Northridge vs. Penn

The Northridge Raiders will face off against the Penn Kingsmen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Northridge comes in on ten and Penn on three.

Northridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Warsaw a 1-0 shutout. That's two games straight that Northridge have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Penn narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past South Bend Adams 1-0. Penn's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Alisa Noakes, who's now up to two this season.

Penn's win bumped their record up to 11-4-4. As for Northridge, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2-2.

Northridge beat Penn 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
