Baseball Recap: Lake Mary Prep Victorious

Lake Mary Prep posted their closest win since March 13, 2024 on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Circle Christian Centurions 6-5. This was payback for the Griffins, who suffered a 19-8 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lake Mary Prep saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brodie Bouley, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Bouley a new career-high in hits (three). Malachi Beedle also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Lake Mary Prep and bumps their season record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Circle Christian, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Mary Prep will welcome Trinity Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Mary Prep is facing Trinity Christian Academy at the right time seeing as Trinity Christian Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Circle Christian, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Orlando Christian Prep at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
