Basketball Recap: Greenwood Extends Winning Streak to Four

Greenwood had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They blew past the Strafford Indians 69-49. The Blue Jays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Greenwood has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Strafford, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-1.

Greenwood has already played their next contest, a 52-46 loss against Bolivar on the 28th. As for Strafford, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Norwood at 6:00 p.m. on January 7th. Norwood knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten matchups -- so hopefully Strafford likes a good challenge.
