Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Mylee Vandevender stepped things up a notch to give Sullivan the 'W'. Vandevender was unstoppable, pitching seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Vandevender and Sullivan will face off against Washington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Golden Arrows got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Hatchets thanks in part to Vandevender: she went 2-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
