Soccer Game Preview: Pasco vs. Classical Prep

The Pasco Pirates will take on the Classical Prep Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Pasco's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Weeki Wachee 8-0. Considering the Pirates have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Classical Prep can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game back in December of 2024. They came out on top against Seven Rivers Christian by a score of 2-0.

Pasco has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those five matchups. As for Classical Prep, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-6.

Pasco took their victory against Classical Prep in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pasco since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
