It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Franklinton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 60-59 win over the Southern Nash Firebirds. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-50 back in January.

Franklinton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Darius Slankard led the charge by going 6-for-9 on his way to 16 points and five assists. Those five assists gave Slankard a new career-high. Harrison Long was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Franklinton and bumps their season record up to 11-13. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for Southern Nash, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-11.

As of now, neither Franklinton nor Southern Nash have any future games scheduled.
